Welcome-bienvenue to the official launch of 2010 Forum sessions. Mon nom est Denis Vézina et je suis membre du Comité de Direction de la Fondation, ainsi que chef du comité de marketing/communications. Je serai votre hôte aujourd'hui.
Pleased to see many seasoned Team Leaders and volunteers. The fact that many return year after year a strong indication that 'the Forum experience' is fantastic not only for students but also for those like you who shepherd them...

Holiday hours
Forum.ca office inclunding its Program Forum for Young Canadians will be closed during the Holiday season from noon Thursday, December 24th until Monday, January 4th at 8:30am.
Forum.ca et la section de programmation pour Forum pour jeunes canadiens sera fermé pour la période des fêtes du jeudi 24 décembre à 12h00 jusqu'au lundi 4 janvier à 8h30am.
A big welcome to Marie-Michèle Laferrière, who has joined the Forum team as our Manager, Programs & Outreach. An Alumni of Forum for Young Canadian 2004, Session 2, she brings with her years of expertise in youth and community development and experience in event planning, project management, training, animation and leadership.

Everything began with a simple little e-mail. Yet, within just a few days, I was aboard the Prime Minister’s plane headed for France so I could take part in the events commemorating the 65th anniversary of the June 6, 1944 D-Day landing in Normandy. / Tout a commencé avec un simple petit courriel. Quelques jours plus tard, j’étais pourtant dans l’avion du Premier Ministre en direction de la France pour participer aux événements entourant le 65e anniversaire du débarquement de Normandie du 6 juin 1944.

Bursaries are available to qualifying students to help offset the cost of attending the Forum program. There are two types of awards currently available: 1. Forum Bursaries– these bursaries are provided by generous individuals and organizations such as Exchanges Canada and the Canadian Club of Ottawa.
