Congratulations for your acceptance to one of the Forum sessions. If you have been working in your community to fundraise, but are having difficulty raising the funds needed, you may be eligible to receive a bursary to subsidize a portion of your fees to attend Forum.
Bursaries may be available to qualifying students to help offset the cost of attending the Forum program. In order to find out if you are eligible for a scholarship or a bursary you must complete one of the forms for the bursaries offered bellow. (see Fees for further details on costs).
There are many types of awards currently available:
Forum Bursaries - these bursaries are provided to the Forum by third party organizations such as Exchanges Canada, the Canadian Club of Ottawa and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Requests must be made through the Forum for Young Canadians. Download the Forum Bursary Application PDF.
Winston Churchill Scholarships - The Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy provides multiple scholarships annually to qualifying students who have been accepted to the Forum for Young Canadians. Requests must be made through the Forum for Young Canadians. Dowload the Winston Churchill Scholarships Application PDF.
Yukon Government - These bursaries are provided by the Yukon Government for students living in that territory. Download the Yukon Government Bursary Form PDF.
All students who have been accepted to Forum and are in need of funds to attend are expected to fundraise in their communities as well. Bursaries do not cover the full cost of attending Forum and the number and amounts dispersed will be dependent upon the Foundation having available funds for this purpose.
